Mosasaurus was a marine lizard, not a dinosaur. The largest species is often shown at movie-monster scale, but conservative modern reconstructions sit closer to 11-13 m.

At 13 m, the displayed animal spans about 7.6 reference-human heights. Its skull alone could approach two metres, longer than a person is tall.
More than one number
Length, height and body mass
The 18 m Megalodon used by ScaleCheck is about five metres longer. Even so, a 13 m marine reptile would have dominated most animals in its Cretaceous sea.

How certain is this size?
Skulls are more common than complete skeletons, so total length depends on the head-to-body ratio used. Published estimates range from roughly 11-12 m to older upper figures near 18 m.
Why compare it
The question this animal answers
Mosasaurus shows why popular culture and paleontology need separate scales. A conservative animal remains enormous without borrowing the blue whale proportions of a film version.
